I’ve only recently discovered Tinker Crate, but I really like it. I mean I REALLY like it!

Tinker Crate is a subscription product that’s shipped to your house. A science class in a box, if you will. You can join and pay by the month or save money by paying for a quarter, a semester, or a year up front. Any way you go, the cost is less than $20/month–about what you’d expect to pay for a co-op class. You can also purchase the kits separately.

Each month kids get a very cool science project to construct plus tutorials to help them understand the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) principles involved. Here’s a sample.

AND…Tinker Crate has a Facebook pagea You Tube channel, and a blog where you can lurk for a bit and see what they do for free. 🙂

If you’re like me, it won’t be long before you’re saving up for your own kits!
